Wow! This year is off to a flying start! We have already entered the fourth month, the second quarter of 2024.

It's a pivotal time on the earth's calendar, and certainly on God's heavenly calendar.

The month of April gets its name from the Latin word aperio, meaning "to open (bud)," because plants really begin to grow during this time. This is important, because as I was in prayer for what was on the Lord's agenda for this month, I clearly heard Him say, "What is happening in the natural is only a reflection of what has taken place in the heavenlies."

A Time of Waging War, Deliverance, and Resurrection

Traditionally, the first month of the year on the biblical calendar starts around April.

"While the Israelites were still in the land of Egypt, the LORD gave the following instructions to Moses and Aaron: 'From now on, this month will be the first month of the year for you.'" (Exodus 12:1–2 NLT)

This is the month that hosts Nissan, which marks the time for kings to go out for war (2 Samuel 11:1)! It is a time for the "kings and priests" of God to wage war on the enemy and fight the Lord's battles.

This April will mark some major events on both earthly and heavenly calendars.

April marks the observance of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and Passover. In the Old Testament, it was during this month that the Israelites would mark their doorposts with the blood of the Passover lamb, signifying their redemption from slavery in Egypt.

Likewise, there will be major earthly events that will need us to (spiritually) mark our doors with the Blood.

The angel of darkness (or death) is coming, but those who have the Blood smeared over their door posts will be saved.

Are you ready for deliverance and freedom?

You see, almost everyone was delivered from Egypt and Pharaoh, but many were still not free in their hearts. They still wanted Egypt!

Many Believers in the month of April need to appropriate what has been done, and even more so, as they celebrate the feasts of the Lord.

This year, April came right after we celebrated the crucifixion and the resurrection of Christ, making it the time of light triumphing over darkness, the resurrection from death to life, and the promise of eternal salvation through Jesus Christ.

There will be many dead things – more so in our souls (wills, minds, and emotions) – that will resurrect this April. I saw many overcoming past traumas, hurts, neglect, and abandonment.

This will be a supernatural act of grace by Holy Spirit, who will hover around His beloveds, and they will receive resurrection in their souls.

Marker Events

But what events are happening, specifically, this April?

April 2024 is a pivotal month that is so important for Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

April 8th (at sundown) – April 9th (at nightfall) of this year will mark the start of the month of Nissan, the eve of the end of Ramadan (April 9th), and the total solar eclipse (April 8th), according to the Gregorian calendar!

Three different events for the three major religions around the world, ALL falling between the 8th and 9th of April 2024!

The Significance for Jews

As far as the Israelites are concerned, the first of Nissan signifies so much, but most importantly, this is what it marks biblically:

1. The day the tabernacle was set up (Exodus 40:17). The first day of Nissan marked the completion and setting up of the tabernacle, a portable (or "portal" – I will come back to this) sanctuary for the Israelites. This was a momentous occasion, as it symbolized the presence of God among His people and provided a central place of worship. (Photo via Wikimedia Commons)

2. The anointing of the tabernacle and its elements (Exodus 40:1–2, 9, 17). The first day of Nissan was significant for the anointing and consecration of the tabernacle and its various elements, such as the altar, utensils, and the laver.

This anointing represented the sanctification and separation of these items for sacred use.

This is a divine time assigned by God for a "portal" (as mentioned in my first point) of praise and worship.

It is a time of birthing and resurrection. It also marks Yahweh being present with His people (His temple).

The Significance for Muslims

As for Muslims (on the first of Nissan), they will be celebrating what they call "Eid el-Fitr." It is the feast marking the end of Ramadan (thirty days of fasting and prayer).

Over 1.9 billion people will be celebrating the "new moon" and their god "Allah," the moon god.

The Total Solar Eclipse: A Portal of Light vs. a Portal of Darkness

I hope you can see how intense this is getting! You have Jews celebrating a new significant month, Muslims celebrating one of the most important Islamic feasts, and then you have a major sign in the heavens coming over America – a total solar eclipse...

Why is this significant, you might ask? Well, we know this:

"Then God said, 'Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years'" (Genesis 1:14 NLT).

God didn't do this because there wasn't any light. As you might recall, there was already light, because God had spoken and said, "Let there be light" (Genesis 1:3).

This is what Psalm 19:1–3 (NLT) says: "The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard."

We also know, from the book of Exodus, that one of the plagues was a complete darkness which fell over the slave masters and over the land of Egypt:

"Then the LORD said to Moses, 'Lift your hand toward Heaven, and the land of Egypt will be covered with a darkness so thick you can feel it.' So Moses lifted his hand to the sky, and a deep darkness covered the entire land of Egypt for three days. During all that time the people could not see each other, and no one moved. But there was light as usual where the people of Israel lived" (Exodus 10:21–23 NLT).

This distinction is happening in the month of April, because the Lord is speaking through His creation.

The sun and the moon, the signs in the heavens, and what will translate from that will be pivotal for God's covenant-keeping children.

As it was in the days of Moses, so it will be this month.

The enemy has marked the calendar with darkness and fear, but the Lord is saying that this is the month of resurrection, light, and breakthrough.

It is very interesting that the 2024 eclipse, like the 2017 eclipse, will cross over a town called "Little Egypt" in Carbondale, Illinois.

It is a known fact that in the 1800s, when there was a famine and lack of grain in northern and central Illinois, Carbondale (which was a town abundant with grain to the point of overflow) fed the rest of the state.

This marks an important time on the calendars!

For God's covenant-keeping children, it is a time of rejoicing and celebration, because what the enemy intended to be a time of evil, darkness, and fear will be a time of light, provision, and resurrection.

It will be either a portal of death and judgment or a portal of birthing and provision; the distinction is very clear.

"...even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You." (Psalm 139:12 NIV)

Vigorous Birthing

This is God's promise to us. Yes, people might fast for thirty days and celebrate the moon, but God has a different surprise in the month of April.

Exodus 1:19 says, "The midwives answered Pharaoh, 'Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive.'"

No matter what the enemy will try to do, know that he has already failed. He will not be able to kill your fruit, no matter how hard he tries.

Birthing is guaranteed and certain, because your God says so!

"As Isaiah said, 'Rejoice, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into a joyful shout, you who have never been in labor! For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband!'" (Galatians 4:27 NLT)

Word of the Lord for April

God says, "April will be marked by signs in the heavens birthing a NEW season of deliverance and redemption.

It is a very special appointed month, and carries a special appointed message.

It will be a month of notable signs not only on Earth, but get ready to hear the bells of Heaven ringing, announcing a time of great deliverance.

"Although darkness will cover many places, and many will be shaken, you will see light; you will feel My light.

This is your time to cross over and inherit your promise, for the Lord of hosts Himself is going before you.

"I indeed have seen your oppression and distress; I have heard your cry, and I am aware of your suffering. Therefore, get ready, for your time of deliverance has arrived. While many will see darkness, you will see light and hear My voice saying, 'Let there be light over My people!'

"While many fear being in turmoil, you will understand that no plague will touch you. Because you have engaged in a covenant of peace and protection, you will see a different display of My glory; a different canvas of light, resurrection, and revival.

"April will be a month of vigorous birthing, and a clear distinction will be made between My covenant people and My enemies.

It will not only be a month of birthing, it will be a month of strength – not only to give birth, but to protect what you are birthing.

And the enemy will not be able to kill, steal, or destroy what you have birthed. For what you are birthing is not the result of human effects; rather, [it is] the fulfillment of My promises. For the work of the flesh will perish, but what is birthed by My Spirit will flourish.

"I am resurrecting a powerful, vigorous generation who will birth a vigorous revival – a revival that will shake the planet.

For I will not only shake the earth but the heavens also, for only the unshakable will remain.

"Get ready to see many self-made stars fall to the ground, while [I] confirm and uphold the stars I have made.

Be humble and keep a leveled head... your time of elevation is breaking forth!

Get ready, for this is the beginning of what you have been waiting for, the time of your deliverance.

And the Egyptians you see now, you will never see again.

It's a cross-over month, where you will strip the enemy and take your possessions!"
